The Commercial Software Myth
One common misconception about commercial software is that it 'just works.' But that's not the reality. Regardless of which software you use, you still need someone to develop your web site.
Don't pay extra for your growth
Most commercial software products charge a base rate plus additional costs based on usage. For example, Microsoft's database software costs US$19,128 per processor in your server.
Your hardware will grow with customer demand, but you shouldn't pay extra to keep using the same software. With free open-source software, you won't have to.
Upgrades are Always Free
With commercial software, you have to pay for each software upgrade. Many times the 'upgrade' only fixes bugs from the previous version. Unless you keep paying, you're left with software that doesn't work.
Free software is simply free.
So what's the catch?
The 'catch' in open-source is finding a team with broad technology skills and experience. That's where we come in.
